This morning I had some time to myself so what do I do? Exactly, I bake! I decided to make vegan brownies. Within a few hours they were all sold and received great feedback from my customers! These were without a doubt the best ones I’ve ever made!
It shows how vegan foods can still be amazing, without the use of animal products. Our bodies don’t need it and neither do your tastebuds. Look at these, who wouldn’t want to eat them all? Plus: they’re actually very easy to make!
How do you make it? Here we go!
- 50 grams of vegetable butter
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown suger
- 1/4 tablespoon salt (I used Himalaya salt)
- 3/4 cup of Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 mashed banana
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flower
Pre-heat your oven to 325 *F or 175 *C. Grease the bottom and sides of your baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
Combine the sugar, cocoa, butter and salt in a heatproof bowl and put if over a pan filled with water (au bain marie). Stir untill melted and smooth.
Take the bowl of the heat and stirr untill it has cooled down a bit. Add the mashed banana and the vanilla extract. When everything is corporated well, add the flower. Stirr untill you can’t see any of the white flower anymore.
Spread it evenly in your baking pan. Bake untill a tooth pick comes out clean.. depending on how sticky you like your brownie. You can eater bake it through and have the toothpick come out clean or when the batter is a bit sticky if you want it more moist and chewy.
