From the moment you announce your pregnancy untill the end of time, people will plant insecurities in your head about your ability to be a parent, the future behavior of your child and the degree of difficulty. You will be loaded with comments like: “oh, just wait untill..” or “be ware, once they..”.
Completely unnecessary if you ask me!
No, parenting isn’t a walk in the park. It’s not meant for everyone. But it is most certainly NOT the end of your life, your freedom, your body or your carrier.
The moment you become a parent, your normal daily routine will change. Drastically. It forces you to redefine the concept of ‘freedom’. You start to enjoy the smaller moments so much more. That little bundle of joy will make sure your heart will be poring with love. Unconditional love. A love you have never experienced. A love that makes you forget the world and only see a beautiful, small and perfect human being.
The universe has trusted you the responsibility to take care of a child. To make sure every fysical, emotional, spiritual and mental need of the child is met. Preparing your child to live their life to the fullest, to teach them morals, for them to pursue their dreams and find happiness in whatever they choose to do.
A beautiful quote from Ms. Maya Angelou:
“It is time for parents to teach young peope early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.”
